Hayden Kramer, better known by his stage name of Herobust, has been a hybrid trap breakthrough artist in the EDM scene for the past couple of years. Since coming out with his massive EP, “I’m Aloud”, his tracks have been played across the EDM world, amassing support and remixes from reputable producers such as Spag Heddy, Barely Alive, Wuki, among others.
Hayden’s interest in music began as a teenager in Atlanta, Georgia, where he spent his afternoons after school making beats and rapping with friends. Upon discovering artists such as Prodigy and Kraftwerk, he made his transition into the electronic music world.
Choosing to leave everyone’s opinions behind and capture his own image, he abandoned the notion of recreating or following the lead of other artists’ sounds, leading to a unique sound that he’s engraved in electronic music.

Q: What are some of the things that got you into making electronic music?
HEROBUST: When I was growing up in ATL, I got involved with people who all would hang around rapping after school. And I got into making beats for them. As I got older, I discovered people like Prodigy and Kraftwerk, and I think that’s what got turned on to Electronic music.
Q: What are some of the things that influenced your change in the style of music you make?
HEROBUST: I’m inspired by what I hear around me. A lot of times you can hear what I’ve been listening to in the tracks I put out at what times. I think that is truly the explanation of who I am as an artist. I hear something, and I’m drawn to making something that melds that vibe with my own personal style.
Q: Who are some of your biggest influences?
HEROBUST: Outkast, Squarepusher, The Prodigy and anything dirty south hip – hop
Q: In what ways have you noticed your style changed as your career has progressed?
HEROBUST: “I’m Aloud” was a defining moment in my career as far as style goes. This was the album where I decided to ignore what everyone else was doing to follow my own wave. The final product is honest, original and really different. I’m very proud of the sound that has progressed.
Q: Do you have any music interests besides electronic music?
HEROBUST: I’m heavy into Dirty South Hip Hop, and Rap in general. But honestly, anything has the capability to catch my ear has a place in my musical interests.
Q: What was your favorite show to perform?
HEROBUST: It’s hard to pick a favorite because all the shows I play are unique and special! My shows in Atlanta are always great because my family/fanbase is out in full force!
Q: Have you ever been to Austin before? (If so) What are some of your favorite things to do here?
Favorite places to eat here?
HEROBUST: Yep! I played LIC Austin a few months back, and the Neon Riot tour with Slander + Getter earlier this year. With Austin, its about the food! I dig all the Tex Mex you got down here, particularly Torchys.
