For many years now, Central and North Austin musicians have had little options when it comes to rehearsal studios. That has changed!

In April of 2012, Waveform Austin opened its doors to bands and musicians with a fresh take on rehearsal studios. “I have always felt like a second-rate citizen when trying to find a place to rehearse. Why are musicians expected to be creative in rooms that feel like a dungeon or are at best uninspiring?” asked Sean Mackie, owner of Waveform Austin and drummer for the bside allstars. So he did something about it and the result is a collection of rehearsal studios that treat musicians with respect.

The idea is simple. Provide musicians with proper acoustics, great equipment, a bit of esthetics, and a positive vibe…heightened performance and creativity will follow.
